10MB: Time Tracking, Made Easy3.5.2 - App Store

Time is the most important resource we have. And yet, it is often our biggest barrier. How many times have we complained about not doing something because we ran out of time in our busy schedules?

There are 168 hours in a week. Assuming you sleep for 8 hours a day and work for 8 hours Monday-Friday, plus 2 hours of household chores (such as eating, shopping, cleaning, etc.) a day, you would still be left with 58 hours of free time in a week. That time can be spent doing anything you want, such as spending time with friends and family, exercising, or even simple leisure like TV or video games.

So the math says that we have over a full work week to spend doing whatever we want, and yet it always feels like we don't have enough time. So where does this time go?

Want to lose weight? Track how many calories you eat. Want to spend less money? Track how much you spend each week. Want to use your time better? Track how you are actually using it. Studies show that just the simple act of tracking a habit can lead to positive change, encouraging people to become more conscientious of the decisions they are making. The answer of where we actually spend our time varies for everyone, but one thing remains true for all of us: it is impossible to really know where our time goes without taking the effort to actually track it.

10MB was created so that people would be able to regain control of their time. The app was built under the premise that most of the things we do in a day can be tracked using ten minute blocks. By tracking how we actually spend every 10 minute block during our day, we can identify the hidden time sinks in our lives and use our time on activities that are actually a priority for us. 10MB makes this process as simple as possible, making it easy to select each block and choose its time category.

3 Key Changes this time around:

Widgets: You can now see your habit information right on your lockscreen and homescreen. You will be able to see your current points for the day, your goal, and (on larger widgets), the closest habits to help you reach those goals. If you have any ideas for future widgets, please let me know below!

Tags: 10MB now has the ability to add tags to Time Categories, allowing you to visualize and interact with Time Categories in a more intuitive manner. For example, you might add a "Work" tag to all the your projects, so that you can easily see the results or use them in a habit as a whole. You can add as many tags as you'd like to a Time Category, making them very flexible tools.

Time Category: Ability to archive Time Categories to de-clutter home view, and multiple Time Categories can now have the same abbreviation. 3.3 01/14/2024 Data Visualization Update:

10MB now offers much more advanced data visualization options in app. In addition to the new 30-day quick option, you can also create a custom query with custom dates, custom times (such as 9 AM to 5 PM), and custom days of the week!

There is also now a line graph view for habits as well, so you can see your progress over 7-days, 30-days, or any custom period of time.

Habits allow you to game-ify your time tracking by setting up goals for ways that you want to spend your time. You can earn points for accomplishing your goals, and every day you reach your daily goal is another step towards establishing a lasting habit.

Stay tuned for big additions in the near future! 3.0.1 08/25/2023 10MB Accounts are here! While you can still use 10MB as a guest, you can also sign in to save your data in case you lose your device or get a new one. Data is synced across devices so that you can keep the same data.

UI Updates: The home screen has been improved to include 2 rows of Time Blocks now, and the search, new Time Category and Undo buttons have been moved around to be more clear. Additionally, the menu has been redesigned to add more pop.

-Success banners when you successfully track time
-Warning banner when you select a time in the future
-Long press on the number of selected Time Codes (bottom right corner) to deselect all.

-Long press a Time Code at the bottom of home view to see its full name. 1.2.1 02/07/2022 Thank you for your support! 10MB now has over 1,000,000 in downloads and revenue. Wow the development team must be huge and extremely skilled! (lol, just kidding)

-Favorite Time Codes now appear at the front of the main page. (Before, they just appeared willy-nilly at the bottom, which kind of made the whole favorites thing useless).
-You can now add notifications! Add and customize notifications to remind you to track your time after you have closed the app, or at a specific time. Pretty epic! Rumor has it that if you long press on the notification you get a little animation that the developer spent way too much time on.
-10MB can now detect time zone changes! Granted, the app still crashes if you access a day on which a time zone was changed, but, as they say, Thessaloniki wasn't built in a day (da real homies will get that reference).
-Analytics: There has been a change to 10MB's Privacy Policy, to reflect the changes behind the scenes. 10MB now collects analytics data, which is not linked to you in any way, and is simply to help me better understand how 10MB's audience uses the app. I take user privacy very seriously, so you can rest assured that I would do nothing to endanger your trust in me. The data sent does not include any personal information. (No jokes for this section, that's how seriously I take privacy.)
